Gananda Central Blue Panthers (Walworth, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles (Clyde, NY), 54-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Gananda Central upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Blue Panthers host Sodus (Sodus, NY) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 9. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 3-5.

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the East Rochester Bombers (East Rochester, NY) in a Section 5 Wayne County bout, on Thursday, February 9. Clyde-Savannah will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Bombers go into the bout with a 13-6 record after their 43-40 league win over Gananda Central (Walworth, NY).
