New Mexico High School Basketball - Sandia Prep over East Mountain

February 8, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87113

Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Sandia Prep Sundevils (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting East Mountain Timberwolves (Sandia Park, NM), saw Sandia Prep's basketball squad overcome East Mountain by a tally of 43-23.

With the victory, Sandia Prep improves its record to 14-8 on the campaign. The Sundevils travel to Cottonwood Classical Prep (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Coyotes in a 3A District 5 challenge on Saturday, February 11. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a record of 7-14. Cottonwood Classical Prep lost 60-21 in their recent league challenge against Cuba (Cuba, NM)

Next up, the Timberwolves confront the Santa Fe Prep/Santa Fe Waldorf (Santa Fe, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 9. East Mountain will attempt to improve on its 4-18 season record. The come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 57-14 non-league win over Chesterton Academy (Albuquerque, NM).
