The Ellington Knights basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Suffield Wildcats to 37 in the Knights league triumph on Wednesday.

The Knights now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Somers for a North Central Connecticut contest on Friday, February 10. Ellington will battle a Spartans team coming off a 69-35 league win over Sports & Medical Sciences Academy (Hartford, CT). The Spartans record now stands at 14-4.

The Wildcats (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against East Granby (East Granby, CT). The Crusaders enter the North Central Connecticut contest with a 2-15 record. In their last contest, East Granby was defeated by Canton (Canton, CT), 45-37, in a league contest.
