The Polar Bears enter the game with a 5-12 record after their 40-26 league loss to Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV).

With the defeat, Hampshire moves to 8-9 on the year. The Trojans travel to University (Morgantown, WV) to face the Hawks in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 14. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 13-7. University won 47-43 in their recent non-league test against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV)
