The Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Heston Academy Patriots to 14 in the Cardinals league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rogers City for a North Star contest on Friday, February 10. Whittemore-Prescott will battle a Hurons team coming off a 53-16 non-league win over Mio-Au Sable (Mio, MI). The Hurons record now stands at 8-7.

The Patriots (0-12) will now prepare for their contest against Oscoda (Oscoda, MI). The Owls enter the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Oscoda was routed by Michigan Lutheran Seminary (Saginaw, MI), 66-46, in a non-league contest.
