The Midlakes Screaming Eagles basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Newark Reds to 54 in the Screaming Eagles league triumph on Wednesday.

The Screaming Eagles now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Geneva for a Section 5 Finger Lakes - East contest on Friday, February 10. Midlakes will meet a Panthers team coming off a 48-10 league loss to Palmyra-Macedon (Palmyra, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 1-16.

The Reds (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Penn Yan Academy (Penn Yan, NY). The Mustangs enter the Section 5 Finger Lakes - East contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Penn Yan Academy ran past Wayne (Ontario Center, NY), 36-32, in a league contest.
