Cypress Ranch Mustangs (Houston, TX) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs face the Langham Creek Lobos (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region 2 District 16 challenge, on Saturday, February 11. Cypress Ranch will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Lobos enter the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 2-0 league win over Cypress Park (Cypress, TX).

The Spartans now have a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bridgeland for a 6A Region 2 District 16 challenge on Saturday, February 11. Cypress Lakes will face a Bears team coming off a 2-1 league win over Cypress Woods (Cypress, TX). The Bears record now stands at 13-1.
