In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Villa Park Spartans soccer squad scored a close 3-2 win over the JSerra Catholic Lions.
The Spartans (16-2) will now prepare for their battle against Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, CA). The Sea Hawks go into the non-league battle with a 14-2 record. In their last battle, Redondo Union nipped Huntington Beach (Huntington Beach, CA), 4-2, in a non-league battle.
