California High School Basketball - Alameda thwarts Castro Valley

The Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Castro Valley Trojans (Castro Valley, CA), 68-54 in Wednesday's league test.
The Hornets (18-6) will now prepare for their test against San Leandro (San Leandro, CA). The Pirates go into the test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, San Leandro went down by St. Joseph Notre Dame (Alameda, CA), 80-60, in a league test.
The Trojans now own a 5-10 record. They play next when they host St. Joseph Notre Dame for a test on Friday, February 10. Castro Valley will encounter a Pilots squad coming off a 59-57 league loss to Berkeley (Berkeley, CA). The Pilots record now stands at 16-7.
