Mar Vista Mariners (Imperial Beach, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA), 47-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mar Vista upgrades its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Mariners host Victory Christian Academy (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Knights in a bout on Friday, February 10. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 6-14. Victory Christian Academy lost 39-37 in their recent league bout against Castle Park (Chula Vista, CA)
