The Floyd County Buffaloes basketball team (Floyd, VA), was toppled 65-51 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA)

The Cougars now possess a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Radford for a Three Rivers battle on Saturday, February 10. Alleghany will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 51-50 non-league win over Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA). The Bobcats record now stands at 10-10.

The Buffaloes (14-6) will now prepare for their battle against Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Cougars come into the Three Rivers battle with a 3-17 record. In their last battle, Patrick County was toppled by Carroll County (Hillsville, VA), 82-40, in a league battle.
