Alsea Wolverines (Alsea, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting McKenzie Eagles (Finn Rock, OR), 52-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Alsea upgrades its record to 4-19 on the season. The Wolverines host Eddyville (Eddyville, OR) to play the Eagles in a 1A Mountain West bout on Saturday, February 10. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-15. Eddyville won 55-33 in their recent league bout against Siletz Valley (Siletz, OR)

Next up, the Eagles play the Triangle Lake Lakers (Blachly, OR) in a 1A Mountain West bout, on Saturday, February 10. McKenzie will attempt to upgrade on its 2-20 season record. The Lakers go into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 1-0 league win over Siletz Valley (Siletz, OR).
