In Thursday's non-league outing, the Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting The Heights (Potomac, MD), by a margin of 83-29.

The Knights (18-6) will now prepare for their outing against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Cardinals go into the VISAA Division I outing with a 15-8 record. In their last outing, Bishop Ireton was trounced by St. John's (Washington, DC), 69-64, in a non-league outing.

The now own a 2-20 record. They play next when they host Bishop McNamara for a Washington Catholic outing on Friday, February 9. The Heights will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 82-78 league win over DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-10.
