Northwestern Wildcats (Hyattsville, MD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bladensburg Mustangs (Bladensburg, MD), 55-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Northwestern upgrades its record to 5-12 on the season. The Wildcats host Bowie (Bowie, MD) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Prince George's County 4A bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 16-4.

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the DuVal Tigers (Lanham, MD) in a Prince George's County 4A bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Bladensburg will attempt to upgrade on its 7-17 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 92-48 league win over High Point (Beltsville, MD).
