New Jersey High School Basketball - Payne Tech can't hold off Bloomfield

The Bloomfield Bengals basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Payne Tech Lions to 59 in the Bengals league triumph on Thursday.
The Bengals now sport a 10-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Payne Tech for a Super Essex - Liberty contest on Thursday, February 8. Bloomfield will battle a Lions team coming off a 58-46 non-league win over Irvington (Irvington, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 13-7.
The Lions (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ). The Bengals enter the Super Essex - Liberty contest with a 9-14 record. In their last contest, Bloomfield was nudged by Newark Tech (Newark, NJ), 74-52, in a league contest.
