In Thursday's non-league outing, the Hixson Wildcats (Hixson, TN) basketball squad beat the visiting Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles (Chattanooga, TN), by a count of 55-45.

The Wildcats (4-22) will now prepare for their outing against Chattanooga Central (Harrison, TN). The Pounders go into the 3A District 6 outing with a 14-12 record. In their last outing, Chattanooga Central defeated Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN), 67-35, in a non-league outing.

The Eagles now hold a 5-13 record. They play next when they travel to Chattanooga Prep for a 1A District 5 outing on Friday, February 9. Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts will clash with a Sentinels squad coming off a 65-29 league win over Copper Basin (Copperhill, TN). The Sentinels record now stands at 17-6.
