Cristo Rey Royals (Richmond, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Varsity Opponent (, ), 73-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Cristo Rey upgrades its record to 14-13 on the season. The Royals host The Carmel School (Ruther Glen, VA) to clash with the Wildcats in a Virginia Metro bout on Saturday, February 10. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 15-13. The Carmel School lost 76-40 in their recent non-league bout against Benedictine (Richmond, VA)

Next up, the clash with the Grayson Christian (Sherman, TX) in a TCAF District 3 bout, on Thursday, February 8. Varsity Opponent will attempt to upgrade on its 394-1437 season record. The go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 50-19 non-league win over Harvest Christian Academy (Bartonville, TX).
