The George C. Marshall Statesmen topped the visiting Wakefield Warriors basketball team by a final score of 48-32 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the Statesmen face the Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) in a District 2 game, on Monday, February 12. George C. Marshall will attempt to move on its 17-5 season record. The Hornets enter the game with a 7-12 record after their 56-40 league loss to Yorktown (Arlington, VA).

With the defeat, Wakefield moves to 7-4 on the year.
