In Thursday's non-league outing, the Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN) basketball squad edged the host Goodhue Wildcats (Goodhue, MN), by a count of 63-58.
The Panthers (10-14) will now prepare for their outing against Byron (Byron, MN). The Bears go into the non-league outing with a 18-6 record. In their last outing, Byron was tipped by Cannon Falls (Cannon Falls, MN), 79-61, in a non-league outing.
The Wildcats now hold a 11-13 record. They play next when they travel to Kingsland for a A Section 1 outing on Saturday, February 10. Goodhue will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 80-78 league win over Lanesboro (Lanesboro, MN). The Knights record now stands at 15-4.
