Union City Golden Tornadoes (Union City, TN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Huntingdon Mustangs (Huntingdon, TN), 85-68 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Union City upgrades its record to 22-5 on the campaign. The Golden Tornadoes host Lake County (Tiptonville, TN) to play the Falcons in a 1A District 14 bout on Monday, February 12. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 7-15. Lake County won 72-70 in their recent non-league bout against Fulton County (Hickman, KY)
