The Jefferson Democrats basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Wells Guardians to 64 in the Democrats league triumph on Thursday.
The Democrats now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Roosevelt for a 6A Portland contest on Saturday, February 10. Jefferson will battle a Roughriders team coming off a 87-68 league win over Lincoln (Portland, OR). The Roughriders record now stands at 17-2.
The Guardians (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against McDaniel (Portland, OR). The Mountain Lions enter the 6A Portland contest with a 1-20 record. In their last contest, McDaniel was defeated by Cleveland (Portland, OR), 67-50, in a league contest.
