The Matawan Regional Huskies basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Southern Regional Rams to 59 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Huskies now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shore Regional for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 8. Matawan Regional will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 41-40 non-league win over Colts Neck (Colts Neck, NJ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 14-6.

The Rams (16-8) will now prepare for their contest against Hammonton (Hammonton, NJ). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Hammonton was nudged by Atlantic City (Atlantic City, NJ), 75-70, in a non-league contest.
