Takini Skyhawks (Howes, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Oelrichs Tigers (Oelrichs, SD), 76-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Takini upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Skyhawks host Flandreau Indian (Flandreau, SD) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 0-12. Flandreau Indian lost 63-14 in their recent non-league bout against Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD)

Next up, the Tigers play the Edgemont Moguls (Edgemont, SD) in a B Region 7 bout, on Friday, February 9. Oelrichs will attempt to upgrade on its 0-14 season record. The Moguls go into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 67-44 non-league loss to Hulett (Hulett, WY).
