Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Redwood Valley Cardinals (Redwood Falls, MN) and the visiting Worthington Trojans (Worthington, MN), witnessed Redwood Valley's basketball squad beat Worthington by a margin of 85-77.
The Cardinals (17-4) will now prepare for their test against Jackson County Central (Jackson, MN). The Huskies go into the AA Section 3 test with a 14-6 record. In their last test, Jackson County Central thwarted Marshall (Marshall, MN), 91-57, in a non-league test.
The Trojans now own a 10-9 record. They play next when they travel to Hutchinson for a AAA Section 2 test on Saturday, February 10. Worthington will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 80-53 non-league win over Jordan (Jordan, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 14-5.
