Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mt. Pleasant Panthers (Mt. Pleasant, IA), 64-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Burlington upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Grayhounds host Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA) to play the Bloodhounds in a Southeast bout on Wednesday, February 14. The Bloodhounds go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Fort Madison lost 37-30 in their recent league bout against Keokuk (Keokuk, IA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Oskaloosa Indians (Oskaloosa, IA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 14. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 51-41 league loss to Norwalk (Norwalk, IA).
