George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV), 79-20 in a league bout.

With the win, George Washington upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Patriots travel to Blazer (Ashland, KY) to play the Tomcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 14. The Tomcats go into the bout with a record of 20-5. Blazer lost 57-47 in their recent non-league bout against Russell (Russell, KY)

Next up, the Cougars play the Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Capital will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 60-40 league win over Hoover (Clendenin, WV).
