The Cass Lake-Bena Panthers basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the visiting Pine River-Backus Tigers to 58 in the Panthers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Panthers now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fertile-Beltrami for a A Section 8 contest on Friday, February 9. Cass Lake-Bena will battle a Falcons team coming off a 56-36 league loss to Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] (Climax, MN). The Falcons record now stands at 10-13.
The Tigers (9-14) will now prepare for their contest against Menahga (Menahga, MN). The Braves come into the non-league contest with a 20-1 record. In their last contest, Menahga prevailed over Sebeka (Sebeka, MN), 68-47, in a non-league contest.
