Kansas High School Basketball - Hutchinson tipped by Derby

The Derby Panthers basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Hutchinson Salthawks to 45 in the Panthers league triumph on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newton for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Derby will meet a Railroaders team coming off a 80-14 non-league loss to Maize South (Wichita, KS). The Railroaders record now stands at 2-12.

The Salthawks (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Maize (Maize, KS). The Eagles enter the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Maize nudged Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS), 40-19, in a non-league contest.
