The Escalante Lobos nipped the visiting McCurdy Bobcats basketball squad by a margin of 45-40 in Thursday's league test.
The Lobos (7-14) will now prepare for their test against Questa (Questa, NM). The Wildcats go into the 2A District 5 test with a 14-7 record. In their last test, Questa was tipped by Penasco (Penasco, NM), 60-36, in a league test.
The Bobcats now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Mesa Vista for a 2A District 5 test on Saturday, February 10. McCurdy will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 59-14 league win over Mora (Mora, NM). The Trojans record now stands at 18-3.
