Pajaro Valley Grizzlies (Watsonville, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gonzales Spartans (Gonzales, CA), 43-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Pajaro Valley upgrades its record to 6-17 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to King City (King City, CA) to play the Mustangs in a PCAL - Cypress bout on Monday, February 12. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 8-16. King City lost 48-41 in their recent league bout against Notre Dame (Salinas, CA)

Next up, the Spartans play the North Monterey County Condors (Castroville, CA) in a PCAL - Cypress bout, on Monday, February 12. Gonzales will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Condors go into the bout with a 15-7 record after their 43-40 league win over Pacific Collegiate (Santa Cruz, CA).
