Lexington Tigers (Lexington, TN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hardin County Tigers (Savannah, TN), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lexington upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Chester County (Henderson, TN) to play the Eagles in a 3A District 12 bout on Friday, February 9. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 16-3. Chester County won 45-21 in their recent league bout against Hardin County (Savannah, TN)

Next up, the Tigers play the Jackson North Side Indians (Jackson, TN) in a 3A District 12 bout, on Friday, February 9. Hardin County will attempt to upgrade on its 14-12 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 0-24 record after their 62-19 league loss to Jackson South Side (Jackson, TN).
