Lawrence County Bulldogs (Louisa, KY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lawrence County upgrades its record to 15-8 on the season. The Bulldogs host Knott County Central (Hindman, KY) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 15-9. Knott County Central won 65-24 in their recent non-league bout against Jenkins (Jenkins, KY)

Next up, the Hawks play the Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Pike County Central will attempt to upgrade on its 12-10 season record. The Golden Wave go into the bout with a 17-4 record after their 62-39 non-league win over Lebanon (Lebanon, VA).
