Madeira Snails (McLean, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting National Cathedral (Washington, DC), 35-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Madeira upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Snails host St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Alexandria, VA) to clash with the Saints in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 6-15. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes lost 58-28 in their recent league bout against Episcopal (Alexandria, VA)

Next up, the clash with the Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart (Bethesda, MD) in a Independent School bout, on Tuesday, February 13. National Cathedral will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The go into the bout with a 7-12 record after their 55-21 non-league loss to Connelly School of the Holy Child (Potomac, MD).
