The Nanih Waiya Warriors basketball team scored 39 points and held the host Noxapater Tigers to 29 in the Warriors league triumph on Thursday.
The Warriors now sport a 22-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Velma Jackson for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Nanih Waiya will battle a Falcons team coming off a 52-31 league win over McAdams (McAdams, MS). The Falcons record now stands at 12-14.
The Tigers (7-14) will now prepare for their contest against McAdams (McAdams, MS). The Bulldogs enter the 1A Region 6 contest with a 12-16 record. In their last contest, McAdams was defeated by Velma Jackson (Camden, MS), 52-31, in a league contest.
