Central Blue Devils (Newark, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Nutley Maroon Raiders (Nutley, NJ), 46-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 16-9 on the season.

Next up, the Maroon Raiders clash with the Dayton Bulldogs (Springfield, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Nutley will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 56-30 non-league loss to Plainfield (Plainfield, NJ).
