Oswayo Valley Green Wave (Shinglehouse, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Smethport Hubbers (Smethport, PA), 42-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Oswayo Valley upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Green Wave host Cameron County (Emporium, PA) to play the Raiders in a North Tier bout on Monday, February 12. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 4-17. Cameron County lost 54-37 in their recent non-league bout against St. Marys (St. Marys, PA)

Next up, the Hubbers play the Kane Wolves (Kane, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Smethport will attempt to upgrade on its 4-17 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 49-38 league loss to Brockway (Brockway, PA).
