The Questa Wildcats basketball team (Questa, NM), was overwhelmed 60-36 in Thursday's league battle with the host Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM)
The Panthers now possess a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mora for a 2A District 5 battle on Saturday, February 10. Penasco will confront a Rangers/Rangerettes team coming off a 59-14 league loss to Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM). The Rangers/Rangerettes record now stands at 6-12.
The Wildcats (14-7) will now prepare for their battle against Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM). The Lobos come into the 2A District 5 battle with a 7-14 record. In their last battle, Escalante trounced McCurdy (Espanola, NM), 45-40, in a league battle.
