Tylertown Chiefs (Tylertown, MS) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Perry Central Bulldogs (New Augusta, MS), 30-11 in a league bout.

With the victory, Tylertown upgrades its record to 16-2 on the campaign. The Chiefs host St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS) to play the Fighting Irish in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Fighting Irish come into the bout with a record of 13-8. St. Patrick won 57-34 in their recent non-league bout against West Marion (Foxworth, MS)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) in a 3A Region 8 bout, on Friday, February 9. Perry Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 57-34 non-league loss to St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS).
