James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA), 27-17 in a non-league bout.

With the win, James River upgrades its record to 3-13 on the season.

Next up, the Highlanders clash with the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Glenvar will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 1-14 record after their 22-20 non-league loss to Glenvar (Salem, VA).
