New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC), 45-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Hanover upgrades its record to 13-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Buccaneers play the North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC) in a bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Laney will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
