The Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Chatham Central Bears (Bear Creek, NC), 43-32 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Eagles (7-9) will now prepare for their test against E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC). The Golden Bulls go into the non-league test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, E.E. Smith notched a victory over Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC), 60-49, in a non-league test.
The Bears now own a 6-15 record. They play next when they travel to Northwood for a test on Tuesday, February 13.
