In Thursday's non-league outing, the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC), by a margin of 70-20.
The Cardinals (12-6) will now prepare for their outing against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls go into the non-league outing with a 10-8 record. In their last outing, South Stanly was trounced by North Stanly (New London, NC), 48-45, in a non-league outing.
The Knights now own a 0-16 record. They play next when they host Albemarle for a non-league outing on Friday, February 9. Gray Stone Day will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 67-46 non-league loss to North Rowan (Spencer, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-13.
