Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pine Bush Bushmen (Pine Bush, NY), 71-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newburgh Free Academy upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Goldbacks travel to Arlington (LaGrangeville, NY) to play the Admirals in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Admirals go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Bushmen play the Kingston Tigers (Kingston, NY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Pine Bush will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 13-1 record after their 53-50 non-league win over Green Tech (Albany, NY).
