Virginia High School Basketball - Bland County sneaks past Grayson County

The Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) basketball edged the visiting Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), 68-66 in Saturday's league bout.

The Bears now possess a 10-9 record. They play next when they travel to Galax for a Mountain Empire bout on Tuesday, February 11. Bland County will play a Maroon Tide team coming off a 63-29 league loss to Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Maroon Tide record now stands at 1-13.

With the loss, Grayson County falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Giles (Pearisburg, VA) to play the Spartans in a Mountain Empire bout on Monday, February 10. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 3-15. Giles lost 69-55 in their recent league bout against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA)
