The Brook Hill Guard (Bullard, TX) basketball edged the visiting Grace Community Cougars (Tyler, TX), 49-46 in Saturday's league bout.

The Guard now possess a 26-5 record. They play next when they host First Baptist for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 11. Brook Hill will play a Saints team coming off a 78-58 league win over Prestonwood Christian North (Prosper, TX). The Saints record now stands at 20-2.

With the loss, Grace Community falls to 21-15 on the campaign. The Cougars host Gilmer (Gilmer, TX) to play the Buckeyes in a non-league bout on Friday, February 14. The Buckeyes go into the bout with a record of 13-14. Gilmer lost 39-34 in their recent league bout against Kilgore (Kilgore, TX)
