The Surrey Mustangs basketball squad (Surrey, ND), was crushed 69-35 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] Cougars (Turtle Lake, ND)
With the victory, Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] advances its record to 14-3 on the year. The Cougars travel to Garrison (Garrison, ND) to meet the Troopers in a B District 8 battle on Thursday, February 13. The Troopers enter the battle with a record of 11-6.
The Mustangs now own a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westhope/Newburg for a B District 6 battle on Monday, February 10. Surrey will meet a Sioux squad coming off a 57-53 league win over Bishop Ryan (Minot, ND). The Sioux record now stands at 14-2.
