Kentucky High School Basketball - Magoffin County trounced by Johnson Central

Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Magoffin County Hornets (Salyersville, KY), 68-31 in a league match.

With the victory, Johnson Central advances its record to 15-7 on the year. The Golden Eagles travel to Blazer (Ashland, KY) to meet the Tomcats in a non-league match on Wednesday, February 12. The Tomcats enter the match with a record of 17-7.

The Hornets now own a 7-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paintsville for a District 57 match on Monday, February 10. Magoffin County will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 78-64 league loss to Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 16-7.
