In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Marionville Comets basketball team scored a close 51-49 triumph over the Spokane Owls.

The Comets (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against Ash Grove (Ash Grove, MO). The Pirates go into the Southwest contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, Ash Grove was tipped by Southern Missouri RUSH (Springfield, MO), 53-37, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Owls confront the New Covenant Academy Warriors (Springfield, MO) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Spokane will attempt to better on its 3-20 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 9-9 record after their 76-44 non-league win over Verona (Verona, MO).
