In Saturday's league contest, the host North Providence Cougars basketball team scored a good 68-51 triumph over the Narragansett Mariners.
The Cougars (18-1) will now prepare for their contest against Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Broncos go into the Division II contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Burrillville topped Johnston (Johnston, RI), 63-36, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mariners confront the Moses Brown Quakers (Providence, RI) in a Division II contest, on Monday, February 10. Narragansett will attempt to better on its 7-11 season record. The Quakers go into the contest with a 16-2 record after their 58-50 non-league win over Times Squared Academy (Providence, RI).
