Illinois High School Basketball - Edwards County trounced by Mt. Carmel

February 8, 2025: Albion, IL 62806

The Edwards County Lions basketball squad (Albion, IL), was crushed 67-35 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Mt. Carmel Golden Aces (Mt. Carmel, IL)

With the victory, Mt. Carmel advances its record to 24-4 on the year. The Golden Aces travel to Wayne City (Wayne City, IL) to meet the Indians in a non-league battle on Thursday, February 13. The Indians enter the battle with a record of 2-6. Wayne City lost 42-26 in their recent non-league battle against North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL)

The Lions now own a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marshall for a non-league battle on Monday, February 10. Edwards County will meet a Lions squad coming off a 66-49 league loss to Paris (Paris, IL). The Lions record now stands at 15-13.
